This policy explains what information Paripaata ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and services, and how we use it. Practicing free papers does not require an account — creating one is only needed to save progress, track history, and access premium content.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication data, whether you sign up with email/password or Google sign-in.
• Practice data: your test attempts, selected answers, scores, and bookmarked questions, so we can show your history and progress over time.
• Payment information: if you purchase premium access, payment is processed by Razorpay. We store the order and payment reference to grant access — we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details, which are handled entirely by Razorpay.
• Contact form submissions: if you write to us, we store your name, email, optional phone number, and message so we can respond.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and debugging.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service — showing your saved progress, attempt history, and unlocking premium papers you've purchased.
• To send essential account emails (email verification, password reset) via our email provider.
• To respond to questions submitted through our contact form.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the platform.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Guest (anonymous) practice

You can attempt free papers without creating an account. In this mode, a random session identifier is stored in your browser to associate your in-progress attempt with your device. If you later create an account, that attempt can be linked to it; otherwise it remains anonymous and isn't tied to any personal information.

Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers necessary to run Paripaata:

• Razorpay — to process premium purchases.
• Our email provider — to deliver account and verification emails.
• Our hosting and database providers — to store and serve the application.

We do not share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.

Data retention

We retain account and attempt data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, reach out via our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
